Aer Lingus has announced the launch of four new seasonal flight routes from Ireland, offering travellers increased access to popular European winter destinations from both Dublin and Cork airports.

The expanded winter schedule is expected to boost tourism connectivity during the colder months and provide Irish holidaymakers with fresh options for festive travel.

Dublin to Tromsø, launching on December 3, 2025, will take passengers to Norway’s Arctic north, where they can experience snow-covered landscapes, Northern Lights viewing, and traditional reindeer sledging. Tromsø is a key winter destination for adventure and eco-tourism.

Starting 21 December, Aer Lingus will also begin flights from Dublin to Turin, a lesser-known Italian gem known for its baroque architecture, rich gastronomy, and proximity to world-class ski resorts in the Alps. The city also hosts a renowned winter lights festival, adding to its seasonal appeal.

From 20 December, passengers from Cork Airport will be able to fly directly to Geneva, a Swiss city offering access to Alpine slopes, lakeside scenery, and winter cultural events. Geneva is also a launchpad for ski holidays and winter escapes across the French and Swiss Alps.

The fourth route, Cork to Prague, begins on 23 October, giving Irish travellers early access to one of Europe’s most enchanting cities. Prague is especially magical in winter, when its medieval streets, festive markets, and rich history draw visitors from across the globe.

Aer Lingus said the decision to launch the new routes was driven by increasing demand for seasonal travel and a growing interest in winter experiences.

Industry experts say the new services could also support inbound tourism, attracting winter visitors to Ireland via Dublin and Cork hubs, especially from regions like Scandinavia and Central Europe.

The additions mark a continued effort by Aer Lingus to enhance its route network while offering more flexibility and variety to travellers looking to make the most of the winter season.
