Aer Lingus has confirmed the return of its seasonal summer flights from Dublin Airport to Rennes and Brest, restoring direct links to two key destinations in France’s Brittany region for the 2026 holiday season.
The airline said the routes will operate from May 30 until August 29, with services running once a week on Saturdays. As with previous years, the flights will be operated by Emerald Airlines on behalf of Aer Lingus.
The reinstated services are expected to appeal to Irish travellers seeking alternative European summer destinations, with Brittany offering a blend of historic cities, coastal landscapes and regional cuisine.
Brittany Connections Return for Peak Summer Travel
Rennes, the administrative capital of Brittany, is known for its medieval streets, cultural festivals and food markets, while Brest provides access to rugged Atlantic coastline and western France’s maritime heritage.
Emerald Airlines’ Head of Commercial, Ian Lough, said demand for the routes had driven their return.
- Flight Duration: Approximately 1 hour 40 minutes.
- Aircraft: Operated by Emerald Airlines’ ATR 72-600 turboprop fleet.
- Tip: Rennes serves as a gateway to Mont Saint-Michel, located around 60 minutes from the airport.
“These services performed strongly last summer and provide customers with a convenient way to reach Brittany,” he said. “They offer an attractive option for those looking to explore the culture, coastline and food of the region.”
Under the published schedule, flights from Dublin to Rennes will depart at 3.10pm, with return services leaving Rennes at 6.50pm. Services to Brest will depart Dublin at 2pm, with return flights scheduled for 5.45pm.
Flight Schedule and Booking Information
Aer Lingus confirmed that tickets are now available to book through its website, as travellers begin planning ahead for the summer travel period.

The announcement comes as the airline’s January Sale approaches its closing deadline, with discounted fares still available on selected routes. The promotion includes reduced prices on flights to North America and savings across a range of UK and European destinations.
The restored Brittany routes form part of Aer Lingus’ wider summer 2026 schedule, as airlines respond to continued demand for short-haul European travel from Dublin Airport.
