Aer Lingus launch New direct flights from Dublin to Cancún starting January 2026

Aer Lingus has revealed plans to introduce its first direct flights from Dublin Airport to Cancún, Mexico, beginning January 2026.

The new route will offer travellers three flights a week on the airline’s A330-300 aircraft.

Fares for the service will start from €291 each way, including taxes and fees, providing Irish holidaymakers with an accessible option to visit one of the world’s most sought-after holiday destinations.

Cancún is famed for its stunning white sandy beaches, vibrant turquoise waters, and luxury resorts, making it a top choice for travellers seeking sun, sea, and relaxation.

More than 12 million tourists visit Cancún annually, drawn by its beautiful coastline, warm climate, and the diverse opportunities for adventure and leisure.

Visitors to Cancún can enjoy everything from tranquil luxury spas and water sports to an active nightlife scene, catering to a wide range of preferences and interests.

Beyond its beaches and resorts, the region is rich in cultural heritage, featuring remarkable archaeological sites such as El Rey, Ichkabal, Coba, Kohunlich, El Meco, Chichén Itzá, and Tulum.

She added that research shows strong demand from customers for new travel experiences outside the peak summer months, with Mexico’s tropical climate perfectly suited for winter sun seekers.

The airline expects the route to attract Irish travellers eager to explore a destination that combines sunshine, rich culture, and culinary delights.
