Irish travellers are set for an exciting travel boost as Air France announces a new route connecting Dublin with Manila, Philippines. Aer Lingus unveils an exclusive Avios-only flight to Tenerife.
Air France’s New Route to Manila
Starting December 7, Air France will introduce a new service linking Irish passengers to Manila via Paris-Charles de Gaulle. The route will operate three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, using the Airbus A350-900. The aircraft will feature 34 business class seats, 24 premium seats, and 266 economy seats.
This new route is part of Air France’s expansion into Asia. Manila is already served by KLM, which operates four flights a week from Amsterdam Schiphol on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Air France and KLM will provide a combined daily service to Manila by coordinating schedules.
Manila, the vibrant capital of the Philippines, offers a rich blend of tradition and modernity with its mix of sleek skyscrapers and historical sites like Fort Santiago and the baroque San Agustin Church. The city is also known for its unique culinary traditions and the stunning natural beauty of the Philippine archipelago, including turquoise lagoons, limestone cliffs, and white sand beaches.
Aer Lingus’ Exclusive Avios Flight to Tenerife
In other travel news, Aer Lingus has announced an exclusive Avios-only return flight to Tenerife for next Easter. The flight will depart from Dublin on April 19, 2025, and return on April 26, 2025. All seats on this special flight will be available only through Aer Lingus’ reward program, AerClub.
Members will need 10,000 Avios points plus taxes, fees, and carrier charges to book a one-way flight. For a return flight, the cost will be 20,000 Avios plus applicable charges. Members who do not have enough Avios points can use a cash and points option to cover the remainder.
AerClub members accumulate Avios points through flight bookings, hotel stays, car hires, and purchases from the AerClub eStore. Each euro spent equates to three Avios points, making this new exclusive flight an attractive option for frequent travellers.
Both announcements offer exciting new opportunities for Irish holidaymakers, providing access to new destinations and rewarding travel experiences.
