Jet2holidays has unveiled plans to expand its operations by launching flights from London Luton Airport to 17 sunny destinations across Europe, the Canary Islands, and the Mediterranean, beginning in Summer 2025.
The first flight will depart on April 1, heading for Majorca, with other destinations including Alicante, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, Ibiza, Crete, Zante, Dalaman, and Reus. Additionally, three exclusive destinations—Girona, Madeira, and Verona—will be available only from London Luton Airport.
To meet the high demand, Jet2 will operate up to 36 weekly flights, offering a total of 430,000 seats for its first summer of operations. Flights are now on sale, with prices starting as low as £29 (at the time of writing), including 10kg of hand luggage. Customers who sign up for a MyJet2 account can save £20 per person on all Summer 2025 return flights, making the deal even more appealing.

Passengers flying from London Luton Airport can book their Jet2holiday directly via the airline’s website, mobile app, customer Contact Centre, or through an independent travel agent.
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, expressed his excitement about the new airport base: “We are very excited to announce London Luton Airport as our 13th UK airport base today, further expanding our footprint and bringing our award-winning holidays and flights to even more customers. Customers and independent travel agents have been asking us to open at London Luton for many years now, so we know how enormously popular this announcement will be.”
Heapy continued, “We have seen time and time again how popular our product is when we bring it to new customers, and we look forward to delivering our VIP customer service to holidaymakers from our newest airport base.” He also highlighted the positive impact on the local economy, noting that the expansion would create over 125 jobs initially.
Alberto Martin, Chief Executive of London Luton Airport, welcomed the announcement, saying, “We are delighted to welcome Jet2, the UK’s leading package holiday provider, to London Luton Airport. The arrival of Jet2 is fantastic news for the millions of passengers who choose to fly from the airport each year and marks a major expansion of Jet2’s operations in the south of England. It will also create exciting new jobs for local people and new opportunities for our local supply chain that we already work so closely with.”
Martin also emphasized the airport’s commitment to offering more choices for passengers, saying, “Next year is shaping up to be another bumper year for London Luton Airport and the addition of 17 exciting new routes on our departure boards, including three destinations that are exclusive to the airport, underlines our commitment to providing even greater choice as part of our simple and friendly passenger experience.”
In addition to these new flights, Jet2 has also launched a sale with discounted fares on all routes, including London to Paris, Lille, Brussels, Amsterdam, and Rotterdam. Special prices are available for travel between November 26, 2024, and February 13, 2025, with some deals starting at just £78 return for a long weekend in Paris (January 31 to February 3) or £54 return to Lille for the exact dates. However, note that the sale does not apply to Amsterdam and Rotterdam after February 9, as those routes require a connection in Brussels.
