Ryanair travelers are being warned about a new policy that could result in an on-the-spot €100 charge for showing up too close to departure time.
The budget airline has introduced a fine for passengers who reach the check-in desk less than 40 minutes before their scheduled flight time.
This measure is intended to minimize delays caused by last-minute arrivals, as check-in services typically close within this time frame and boarding is already underway.
Those who miss their flight and wish to rebook on the next available departure will also be subject to the €100 fee.
As outlined in Ryanair’s updated terms, “The service is only available within 40 minutes before and up to one hour after the flight’s departure. It also applies to customers seeking to move to the next flight after missing their original one.”
The policy reflects the airline’s commitment to maintaining strict schedules and ensuring efficient operations.
